Our idea for designing D Sign was to create exclusive furniture, like a signature, for the Dalan boutique hotel in Isfahan. Our chair design was inspired by the form of the Dalan (corridor-shaped alley with arch) where the hotel is located at the end. The form of this chair is derived from the perspective of the consecutive arches of Dalan, where the rays of light present in it signify hope and brightness after darkness. The shadow of this chair complements the empty spaces in it and continues the path of Dalan. The cream and gray colors of this chair are taken from the bright shadow of Dalan

D-Sign junior chair

D-Sign Junior is a new version of the D-Sign chair, designed specifically for the roof lounge area of the Dalan-e-Jahan Boutique Hotel. The core idea behind this chair’s design was to create exclusive furniture, just like a signature, for this boutique hotel. The hotel itself is located at the end of a long Dalan (A Dalan is a roofed alley commonly found in historical Iranian cities).

The chair’s form is derived from the perspective of the sequential arches in the Dalan. Since it was designed for a relaxation area within the hotel, the chair features open angles and curves. To align with the hotel’s calming atmosphere, the chair is finished in a shade of blue according to the hotel’s visual identity.
