The historical Khayyam House is located in the Jolfa neighborhood, an important historical area in Isfahan. Based on its architectural style, the building dates back to the early Pahlavi era and has been operating as Khayyam Restaurant, one of Isfahan’s most famous dining establishments. In addition to the restaurant, the street-facing section of the building served various commercial purposes.
Historical records and architectural evidence indicate that this building featured a hall with a sloping roof on the first floor, flanked by two verandas on its northern and southern sides.
The restoration plan of the building has been documented as a commercial complex, including the preservation of historical elements, reconstruction of damaged sections such as the hall, construction of basement, central courtyard and the addition of modern service area for storage and vertical access.
Given the unique rooftop location and the building’s history as a restaurant, the plan also includes a large rooftop café-restaurant offering views of Jolfa’s historical rooftops and Sofeh Mountain.
